During the past 70 years the company, founded as a transport company, developed further to a leading freight forwarding company located in Weißenhorn, Heimertingen and Soufflenheim.

1935: It all started with Hans Gerstlauer. He initiated with simple resources as a cater.

1954: His son Ludwig entered the family business.

1970: Ludwig Gerstlauer controls the fate of the company. Soon he faces the new requirements of the fast growing market and invests purposefully in staff and transport fleet.

1973: The expansion starts. Soon the space is not sufficient anymore and a larger areal is acquired. The distributorship for groupage freight will be extended. As the customers demands grow, the construction of storage area advanced. Also the transport fleet will be enlarged.

1991: The subsidiary “Gerstlauer France” is established in France.

1993: Gerstlauer Spedition & Logistik GmbH is found. Business executives are Hans-Jürgen Gerstlauer and Helmut Gerstlauer, the sons of Ludwig Gerstlauer.
